New Era x Billion Creation San Diego Padres Venom Prototype 1 & 2

The San Diego Padres Venom prototypes are from a style that we produced about 12 years ago. This was one of our earliest collaborations with New Era Design Lab. These prototypes are both very similar. These are charcoal gray hats with faux snakeskin used throughout. The visor is faux snakeskin and the top button is faux snakeskin. The interior fill of both the front SD logo and the back MLB Batterman logo are also lined with faux snakeskin. The faux snakeskin used is really high quality. We were surprised by how perfect they look after 10 years in storage. The texture of the snakeskin is amazing as well, having a very real, ‘pebbly’ feel to it. The main difference in the design is the snakeskin pattern itself. One of the Venom hats (the size 7 1/2) looks more like a python pattern while the other one (size 7 5/8) has more of a diamondback look to it. In keeping with our earlier designs, we incorporated a gold 59Fifty sizing sticker inner lining print on the interior of the front two panels. We produced one round of these hats about 12 years ago, but these are otherwise one-of-a-kind hats. We do not intend to produce these in the future, as sourcing the right faux snakeskin would be near impossible.
