New Era x Billion Creation San Diego Padres Savage Prototype 1 & 2 Auction

We call this style the San Diego Padres Savage in a nod to Rihanna, and the fierce (but sleek) style she brings to hip hop with her Fenty brand. The crown is done in woodland camouflage with the current SD logo in black with a black outline for added pop. NE side logo and MLB Batterman back logo are done in black also to keep it consistent. For the visor of the original prototype, we tried to do a felt-based fabric for added texture and warmth, to mimic what it would look like to have cheetah fur on this cap. We did a second prototype with a visor with cheetah print on standard canvas material, where the pattern came out much more defined and detailed. The cheetah pattern on both prototypes is also carried over onto the undervisor. Both prototypes also come with our signature 5950 sizing sticker inner lining, something we did on all our early fitted designs. This design never went into production so only these two Savage prototypes exist in the wild.

All proceeds will be see sent to our partners at the YMCA of San Diego County to support their in-house programs during Mental Health Awareness Month.
