Emerica
Emerica
Emerica was established by freestyle skateboarder (and Etnies owner) Pierre André Senizergues, in 1996.
Originally, the brand fell under the umbrella of ‘Sole Technology Incorporated’ (STI), but, in order to focus on separate niches within the action sports industry, the brand was split off from Etnies to focus more solely on skateboarding. Now, Emerica has carved out a name for itself within the annals of skateboarding history.
Emerica has some of the most iconic skate videos of all time underneath its belt; ‘Yellow’ (1997), ‘This Is Skateboarding’ (2003), and ‘Stay Gold’ (2010).
Emerica Skate Shoes
Emerica’s mission statement states that the brand is devoted to the manufacture of skate shoes that are both dependable, and affordable. Their catalog features a handful of flexible vulcanized models for improved board feel and control, while staying true to the original skate shoe designs of the ’90s with more bulky silhouettes and traditional colorways.
