The San Diego Padres Zipper Snapback is one of our earliest designs and one that we are extremely proud of. The original concept was to have the front logo unzipped to show a Padres SD logo hidden underneath. The first prototype came out with an embroidered zipper and the SD logo hiding behind the zipper. Then we thought it would be really creative to try and use actual zipper hardware. So we tinkered with this and were able to produce a design that used an actual zipper on the front. Interior logo has a red 9Fifty sizing sticker as the inner lining for the front two panels for the final versions. The original prototypes did not have the current inner lining. We produced one round of these hats about 12 years ago, but this is otherwise a one-of-a-kind hat. There were four prototypes of this hat and all four are included in this auction.
