Deathwish

Similar to brands like Heroin and Palace, Deathwish falls under the umbrella of its bigger sibling, Baker Skateboards.

This unique skate brand focuses primarily on retro and iconic aesthetics, drawing inspiration from ’70s and ’80s cult movies and kitsch magazine cover artwork, as well as distinct iconography from those eras. Founded in 2008 by Erik Ellington and Jim Greco as part of Bakerboys Distribution, the outfit’s name and logo are borrowed from the “Death Wish” film series, which featured Charles Bronson.

Overall, the brand caters to those who adhere to the more nostalgic (and grungy) side of skateboarding, thanks to dark graphics, designs, and recreations of logos from the tail-end of the century.
